2017 Tour of Zambia

Bill Ettinger has led month-long student classes to Zambia for Gonzaga University 7 times since 2008. Ann-Scott joined him in 2010, then was co-leader in 2014 and 2016.

We have been frequently asked, “Will you ever take non-students to Zambia?” Well, we are planning on a trip early in the summer of 2017. If you have ever wanted to go on safari in Africa, see chimpanzees, elephants, hippos, impala, African birds and other wildlife up close, then this may be your chance.

We envision a two-week tour of Zambia. The first few days will be spent at Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage, the next few days at South Luangwa National Park, followed by a few days in Livingstone visiting Victoria Falls at Mosi oa Tunia National Park. We will then take a brief excursion to Botswana to visit Chobe National Park. Travel time will have to be added to the beginning and end of the trip. The total trip will be 16 days.

We are looking for up to 16 people to join us. Are you interested? See the following pages!

NOTE: This website and the proposed trip are NOT associated with Gonzaga University.

We need to finalize our group by January, 2017 to get the best rates and accommodation availability. Please let us know if you have questions, or are sincerely interested.

We believe if we make reservations early, the cost of this 16 day trip would be about $5,000 USD per person plus airfare. Last year we were able to secure flights from Seattle to Lusaka for about $1,000 per person, round trip (early in the summer)! So the total cost from Seattle would be around $6,000. This will include 3 meals per day and all activities described in the itinerary except the possibility of a walking safari in South Luangwa National Park.

We would love to have you join us! First come, first served!
